Leisure and recreation

Being actively involved in community life is an important step towards developing independence. We support you to engage in recreational and sporting activities in the community such as swimming at local aquatic centres, training with the Kyneton Cricket Club and interleague indoor cricket over the winter months, socialising on a Friday night with the FEVER group or being coached at the local Lawn Bowls Club. The aim is to have fun and learn new skills at the same time. Based on your goals we’ll work with you to decide what activities will help you live a full and rewarding life.

At various times we offer the following activities:
• Swimming
• Walking
• Art
• Photography
• Lawn bowls
• Volunteering in the community
• Gardening
• Cooking and Nutrition
• Cycling

And we’re always on the lookout for new things to try. If you have any ideas of what you might like to get involved in then by all means let us know.

Windarring also provides daily programs focused on centre-based, community based, group activities that encourage individual participation and choice that has a key focus on person-centred support. You find out what is on offer at the link below.
