Ground to Plate

By Bendigo, Latest News, Life skills & supported living, Training
Windarring has begun a new 12 week program facilitated by Leigh from PepperGreen Farm this week called Ground to Plate. Tyler, Clare, Tamika, Alinta, Linda, Fin, & Tegwen had an absolute blast! First they learnt about PPE in the garden and tried different apparatus on, with an explanation of what each piece was for. They did a blind folded activity and had to pick different fruit and vegetables by touching and smelling – there was lots of laughs. Leigh from PepperGreen Farm demonstrated how to plant seeds in plastic cups with wet paper towel now on the window sill ready to sprout. Teepees were made with bamboo which Leigh had from pruning at another job. The teepees will be for to growing peas up when the seedlings are ready to plant. The day was really enjoyed by everyone! If you want to get involved contact admin@windarring.org.au or speak with your Team Leader.
